The Ranking The Top 10 Current Cricket Coaches In World

Cricket is still a team sport in which individuals receive the majority of the attention, but it is impossible to ignore the importance of coaches in ensuring team success. Coaches have always been into the cricket world cup news.  Although cricket coaches lack the same charisma as their counterparts in football, this fact does not in any way lessen the importance of their role.

Let’s consider the history of coaches in cricket. There are already figures at the national and international levels who have gained the respect of the game’s community due to their keen understanding, comprehension, and game-planning skills.

Let’s see the ranking of the top 10 current coaches in world cricket.

. Saqlain Mushtaq:

Following Misbah-ul-Haq’s resignation, he was named Pakistan’s head coach before the T20 World Cup. He received help from Australia’s Mathew Hayden and South Africa’s Vernon Philander. Babar Azam’s team did well in the competition by winning all five groups, including the one against India.

Although he had various chances to work with teams, T20 leagues, and people in Pakistan, something significant happened after being hired as the nation’s head coach the previous year. Although the experience wasn’t pleasant, Mushtaq did not refuse the invitation to lead the nation he was born.

. Mark Boucher:

The former vice-captain of South Africa, Mark Boucher, is an exception to the rule that good cricketers don’t always become good coaches. Boucher undoubtedly merits a big pat on the back, given how South Africa recently made resounding comebacks during the Test series against India and New Zealand.

Since Boucher was named as the team’s head coach in December 2019, South Africa has lost nine of their first 11 series across all forms. However, since then, the team has won six of its seven matches and came close to reaching the semifinals of the T20 World Cup last year.

. Stephen Fleming:

When the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captured their fourth championship in 2021, Fleming cemented his position as the IPL’s most successful coach. He beat Mahela Jayawardena, who had three titles to his record as a coach, by being a member of each of the Super Kings’ championship teams since 2010.

After the CSK won their fourth championship last year with a team that wasn’t too young, it got a lot of appreciation. The former New Zealand captain expressed his pride and claimed that his coaching doesn’t rely heavily on analytics but on instinct and building relationships with the players.

. Trevor Bayliss:

Especially between 2015 and 2019, England cricket will always owe a debt to Trevor Bayliss. After the humiliating group stage exit from the 2015 Global Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Bayliss took over as the coach and, along with Eoin Morgan, completely turned things around to earn them the world champions at home in 2019, the year in which he departed the position.

In August 2007, he also took over as Sri Lanka’s coach, and in 2009, he was a member of the squad that fought off a devastating attack in Pakistan. Bayliss aided the islands in reaching the 2011 World Cup final and moving up to No. 2 in the Test rankings.

. Mickey Arthur:

In the coaching world of contemporary cricket, Mickey Arthur is a figure that is always in vogue. Although the South African was never allowed to play for their country in an international cricket match, during his playing career, he earned the respect of all through his commitment and many qualities that a good coach should possess. The man has a varied coaching background and has worked with teams from all over the world.

Arthur recently took over as the English county team Derbyshire’s coach after resigning as the Sri Lankan squad’s coach.

. Andy Flower:

England won the 2010 T20 World Cup under Flower, giving them their first-ever ICC trophy. It was a remarkable victory because the team, better recognised for their traditional style of play, began to play a different type of cricket.

Andy has experience working as an assistant to former India captain Anil Kumble in the IPL’s Punjab Kings camp. He is now ready to take the helm as head coach of the Lucknow Super Giants, a team that will make its IPL debut in the upcoming 2022 season.

. Rahul Dravid:

Dravid joined the Indian team that won a limited-overs series and made a brief trip to Sri Lanka last year. The man assumed the position of Indian national team head coach in November, and his tenure has gone well thus far.

Dravid is also anticipated to assist India in capturing their first ICC championship in a long time. These are complex, considering the tremendous strain that India’s cricket community is operating. But Dravid is a person who can overcome those obstacles and triumph as well.

. Gary Kirsten:

He was appointed coach of India in 2007, and the experience profoundly impacted him. Kirsten received appreciation for maintaining a low profile during all the triumphs and celebrations as Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s squad conquered the 2011 World Cup and rose to the top spot in Test matches.

Later, he became the coach of South Africa. While he could not repeat his earlier success there, he was nonetheless successful in elevating the Proteas to the top spot in the long format. The 54-year-old will be in charge of the Gujarat Titans, a brand-new team making its debut in this IPL season.

. Mike Hesson:

One of the few international cricket instructors, Mike Hesson, began coaching at 22 and never had a playing career. He succeeded John Wright as New Zealand’s head coach in July 2012.

In 2015, the Kiwis reached their first-ever World Cup final in the 50-over format thanks to his exceptional relationship with former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum. Hesson was successful in making strong national players acceptable on the international stage.

. Gary Stead:

The 50-year-old retired New Zealand Test cricketer is the Black Caps’ finest development in recent times. His success in New Zealand’s men’s, women’s, and domestic cricket competitions demonstrates what an exceptional coach he is.

The New Zealand team has advanced to the final match of world competitions in all formats while he has served as coach. They competed in the T20 World Cup 2021 finals, the World Test Championship finals, and the World Cup finals of 2019.
