With our current budget and our ability to focus on the bigger picture, we may as well go back to the movies. So I think it is important to get a good movie or two at home and have them read on the movie screen.
We have no problem with movies, but we do like to know what movies are worth seeing when we go to the movies (or at least find out what films might be worth seeing when the cinema is playing). We think that watching a movie is the same as any other activity in life, except that the movie could be really boring. A movie is a passive activity.
But there’s also that passive thing going on, and we’re going to talk about that in a bit. The passive thing is when we’re watching a movie, we’re just passively watching a movie. This passive thing is what makes the movie seem more real—or less real, depending on your point of view—than if you were actually in the movie.
I’m not sure how you could not feel like watching a movie. I mean, you can’t go to the movies and not be curious. You could go to the movie theatre and not be curious about it. But the same might not be true the other way around. When you’re watching a movie, you’re merely looking at it, and looking at a movie is not really a passive activity.
I think most movies are passive (like the movies youre watching now), but we can also argue that a movie that is actively engaging can definitely become passive. A movie that you are engaged in, is an activity that you are engaged in. A movie that you are bored of, is still an activity.
Movies can become passive though, when they are not really engaging. You are not in the movie theater in the theater and are not watching the movie. You are not in a movie theater and looking at the movie. You are not in a movie theater and watching the movie. This is why I think watching a movie is a passive activity, because you are not actually engaging with the movie.
The movie theater is not the place to make the movie engaging, and the movie isn’t the place to make you engaged either. Movies are an activity, but they are not the place to make you engaged. Movies are a passive activity. Movies could be made engaging, but not by themselves. It’s a passive activity you have to actively engage with.
