It happens to everyone. If you don’t have a plan for the day, you’re going to struggle with your day. Your day will be longer and more complex when you’re not clear on what you want to do.
That’s the problem with many of life’s struggles. It’s not that you have a bad day every day. Its that when you have a plan to do something, you’re going to fail. But like, you can’t plan every day for your kids to go to sleep on time, you can’t plan your time to be a home-schooler, and you can’t plan your life to be a writer.
As a writer, I like to think I can plan my days. I think I can figure out what I want to do (i.e. write) in a day. But the reality is that I can never plan my life. I know I can plan my day, but when I wake up every day, I don’t know what I want to do. I have a lot of trouble getting started, so I think it’s a good idea to always have a plan for each day.
What I mean is that I plan to be a writer for a day. I think I know what I want to write in that day. I know what I want to write because I wrote a lot when I was younger. I can tell the difference between when I made a plan and when I just jumped into it. I have to do that every day because the only way I can get started on anything is to start doing something and then sit down and figure out what I am going to do.
I know the difference between a plan and a plan, but I’m still new to this. What I am suggesting is that you plan, not a plan that you think you will follow. Just a plan. A plan that you can actually follow if you know what you are doing. A plan that you have a goal and a plan that you know what you are going to do. If you don’t know what you are going to do, you don’t do it.
