The Netflix series is emotional, witty, and edgy, and it’s been met with all sorts of favorable reviews from casual users and critics alike. Now that dead to me season 2 will shortly be available, here’s a look at what we know about the future of the acclaimed series up to now. (Beware: There are a few significant seasons one spoiler ahead.)
What is the Dead to Me season two return date?
Filming wrapped months ago, according to a December 2019 Instagram post from Linda. What’s more, Variety reported that Natalie Morales (the celebrity, not the Today show star) would be joining the hit series as a recurring character called Michelle.
According to the socket, Michelle is called “down and up to earth” and has a “relaxed charm and infectious comedy.” She forms a relationship with Judy at the assisted living facility where Michelle’s hard mother lives. Can Steve (James Marsden) return for season 2?
Are there any Dead spoilers for season 2 yet?
Last May, the show’s founder, Liz Feldman, wasn’t convinced whether Netflix would give her a season 2. But she did have some ideas about where the show would go next.
In general, however, it sounds like we can expect to see more of the dark humor and elaborate friendship dynamic between Jen and Judy that we came to appreciate in Dead to Me Phase 1: “What I will say is that [season 2] will be on the further exploration of the friendship… between both of these women, Liz afterward told Entertainment Weekly.
In the simplest way, the score was evened. What I wanted to do was create a situation where they’re driven together, and they need each other now in certain ways more than they did at the start of season 1.”
Every season thus far has kicked off in April in the US before arriving in the UK in June (besides season three, as mentioned). But given everything that’s happening, we might be waiting much more than April 2021
